NYSSBA ExhibitA great way to advocate and bring attention to your program… Normally, student work is collected in June and displayed in October at the NYSSBA convention. With the challenges of the end of the 2019-20 school year and the NYSSBA moving to a virtual convention, the creation of an exhibit required flexibility this year. Images of artwork submitted for the cancelled Legislative Exhibit were used to create a virtual exhibit consisting of 173 outstanding pieces of artwork from elementary and secondary schools across the state. School board members attending the NYSSBA Convention were able to view student artwork during the convention October 27-29. Attendees continue to have access to the virtual art exhibit through December 31, 2020.
Each year NYSSBA selects student artwork to use for the cover of their annual holiday card from the convention student art exhibit. Congratulations to Osher Serussi and Maya Neville on having their artwork selected for 2020 and 2021 Holiday Cards.
