We invite you to join our new, energized leadership team. We are making our region the most dynamic, productive and helpful it has ever been. Art educators in all learning environments: public, charter and private schools, museums, and community programs are all welcomed. Media arts and STEAM-focused educators are welcomed as well.

Volunteer Help Wanted: ...people who want to contribute more to the profession of art educator, who like to get involved, who like to collaborate, who like to roll up their sleeves and people who have those other valuable skills they don't get to use much.  Follow the link to our sign-up sheet with a full listing of helpful roles you can take on.

Speaking of volunteers... Region 8 is coordinating the exhibition this year and we need crews to help layout, set up, host the reception, take-down, repack and return. Follow this link to the participation sign up sheet so you can join the NYSATA/NYSSBA Art Exhibition crew.

Portfolio Project: We are rolling out the Portfolio Project for our region in Spring, 2019. Follow this link to learn more about it so you can plan projects into your 2018-1029 curriculums. We will also need adjudicators; keep an eye out here and for emails from us with details about adjudication training sessions.

First Annual NYC8 Best Student Work of the Year Gallery: Wait! Before you give the work back, take a picture or share the media file of your student's creative accomplishments of 2018 with us for the gallery! Make it a clear, high-resolution photo, send it as a .jpg by email, or as a link from your DropBox or Google Drive and we will prepare it for the web.

See our first Shared works on the next page. Thank you, members!
